It is the territory with very well-preserved biodiversity and with often incidence of protected species.
It forms part of the territorial complex called Javořická vrchovina, which was proposed to be declared the
Protected Landscape Territory. At present, the territorial plans of both microregions and individual communities
are being gradually elaborated within this territory. Our association participates in creation of these territorial
documents by stating of our comments and remarks as well as by participating in public discussions.
Within the whole territory, except for built-up residential areas, there are a lot of kinds of vertebrates and
invertebrates as well as many protected kinds of plants. However, their biotopes have been currently endangered by
the present privatisation of the state land, which is being sold to those interested in its commercial
utilisation - such as for example establishment of golf courses, recreation centres, and so on. It would
be good to focus these activities for example to "soft" tourism or to ecological farming at family farms.
Our association provides consulting services to the local civil groups, which address us with various problems
from the field of nature protection in their areas. We would like to pay higher attention to this problem. We would
like to include all important information about the rights of the public into a brief brochure, which would be
provided to local inhabitants, municipal offices and to the information centre of non-profitable organisations
in Jindřichův Hradec district working with Public Library in J. H. In cooperation with the professionals we want
to organise a seminar concerning this topic for the local representatives as well as for the other public.
