Article 1 Base provisions
/1/ The South Bohemian Mothers Association is a voluntary independent non-political ecological organisation whose main vocation is the protection of the environment and landscape. The association above all promotes the improvement of the environment and human relationship to it, alternative environmentally friendly life-style and sustainable development. The association co-operates with other non-government non-political organisations that have similar programmes of activities.
/2/ The association's sphere of activity is throughout the Czech republic, though predominantly in the South Bohemian region, and has its seat in České Budějovice.
Article 2 The main objectives and work methods of the association
/1/ The main objective of the association is the education of both children and adults towards respect for life (even unborn), truth and environmental protection and the promotion of this ecological and esthetical education into the educational system.
/2/ The main goals are also an effort to decommission risky non-ecological technologies, especially nuclear energy and other health damaging plants, promotion of alternative sources of energy production and an appeal to the ecological consciousness of citizens.
/3/ The association supports the regeneration of the civic attitude of the public and those tendencies of social development, which generate conditions for healthy and free life.
/4/ Gained professional knowledge, useful for the association's work, will mainly be focused on the ecological education of families with children, in view of unsubstitutability of a family in education.
Article 3 Membership in the association
/1/ Membership of the association is purely individual. Membership exists in three forms: members, supporters of the association and honorary members. The members or supporters can be women over 18 years of age, also childless, after the completion of the application form and the approval of the association's committee.
/2/ Honorary member can be a man over 18 years of age after the completion of the application form and the approval of the association's committee.
/3/ The membership is terminated by a written notification from a member, a supporter or an honorary member about the membership termination or on account of death. In case of major violation of the statutes, a general meeting will decide on the membership termination.
/4/ Expulsion of a member, a supporter or an honorary member is possible on the basis of a committee's resolution in case of major violation of the statutes or other major steps against the interests or goals of the association.
Article 4 Membership rights
/1/ A member or a supporter has the right to participate in all forms of activities of the association and to be regularly informed about these activities and obtain printed materials issued by the association.
/2/ A member or a supporter is entitled to submit proposals, comments and complaints about the work of the association.
/3/ Only members are entitled to vote or to be voted into posts in the association.
/4/ An honorary member has the same rights as a supporter
Article 5 Duties of the membership
/1/ Members, supporters and honorary members are obliged to observe the statutes of the association.
/2/ Members actively participate in the work of the association to the best of their abilities and properly discharge their functions.
Article 6 Organisational structure of the association
/1/ The organisational structure is formed by the member base and the association committee. In the case of an increase in the number of members, local groups and an association board will be formed.
/2/ The committee is as a rule elected for the period of one year by members of the association from their own ranks. Other members can, according to requirements, extend the three-member committee, made up of a chairwoman, a deputy chairwoman and a manager.
/3/ The committee calls regular meetings twice a year. These meetings are public. Further the committee calls elections and proposes statutes and organisational regulations (and their modifications)
Article 7 Principles of management
/1/ The association has property which it gradually raises in compliance with generally binding legal regulations.
/2/ The income of the association serves only to provide for its activities which are in compliance with its policy goals. The income is formed by non-profit activities which are in compliance with the organisational regulations, grants, subsidies and donations.
/3/ The management of the association follows valid legal regulations. The association has opened an account in České Budějovice.
/4/ The manager of the association keeps the records of management, a receipt and payments book and other bookkeeping.
Article 8 Final provisions
/1/ The association is a legal entity with full legal personality. The chairwoman, deputy chairwoman or other persons accredited in writing are authorised to act in full scope in its name.
/2/ The statutes can only be modified by the resolution of a general meeting.
/3/ A voluntary disbanding of the association or its merger with other ecological association must be decided by the resolution of a general meeting or at least a two-thirds majority of votes.

These statutes were carried at a preparatory meeting of the charter members of the association in Lišov on 6-12-1991. The Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic carried out the registration on 2-3-1992 under No. VSC/1-10385/92-R.
A general meeting on 1-7-1994 modified these statutes. The Ministry of Interior acknowledged the modification on 15-9-1994 under No. VSC/1-10382/92-R.
Further the statutes were modified at a general meeting on 18-2-1997. The Ministry of Interior acknowledged the modification on 24-2-1998 again under No. VSC/1-10382/92-R.
Subsequent modification was approved at a general meeting on 7-2-2000, by the resolution No.1.
